Trust & safety

Trust is our product.

It's the first thing you see when you open SafiLink, and it shapes every decision we've made — from who's allowed to list a service, to how and when money moves.

Provider verification

No one goes online without passing all four steps

1

Phone OTP

Accounts start with a one-time code sent to an M-Pesa-registered number — no anonymous sign-ups.

2

ID document upload

A government-issued ID is submitted and reviewed before a provider can list any service.

3

Selfie face match

A live selfie is matched against the submitted ID to confirm the person behind the profile.

4

Admin review

Our team manually reviews every submission — the final check before a provider can go online.

Escrow payments

Your money doesn't move until you say so.

When you pay for a job, that money doesn't go straight to the provider — it's held in escrow inside SafiLink. It's only released once you confirm the work has been done to your satisfaction.

  • Payment collected securely via M-Pesa STK Push
  • Funds held until you confirm job completion
  • Dispute a job before releasing payment, if needed

Visibility and control, the whole way through

📍

Live GPS tracking

See your provider's location update in real time from the moment they're assigned to your door.

💬

In-app chat

Message your provider directly without sharing personal phone numbers.

🆘

One-tap SOS

An SOS button is always visible during an active job, for both clients and providers.

⚖️

Fair dispute process

Not happy with a job? Raise a dispute before payment is released, and our team will review it.

Public trust scores

Every provider carries a visible rating built from completed jobs, punctuality and client feedback.

👪

Next-of-kin on file

Every provider lists an emergency contact as part of registration, for everyone's safety.

Safety is a system, not a single feature.

Verification, escrow, tracking and disputes all work together — so trust isn't something you have to take on faith.
